Tree Love with the Tree Council

From the get-go Drop Project has committed to climate conscious brewing. Our green mandate guides every aspect of production to ensure we reduce and offset our carbon emissions and become carbon neutral, if not a carbon negative, business.

Since 2019 Drop Project has collaborated with The Tree Council on our One Brew = One Tree initiative; for every brew produced we pledged to plant one tree. This equates to roughly 90 trees planted annually. This year, we’ve upped our game. We’re delighted to announce that we are now an official corporate partner! Our new pledge this year is for The Tree Council to plant 200 trees or metres of hedgerow on our behalf.

Never ones to rest on their laurels, Joe, Will, and Oscar went along to Petersfield Community Garden to get down and dirty (planting trees). By the end of the day, they had set out over 400 trees creating a micro forest. Nice work fellas! They also maintained important stretches of hedgerow, which are particularly efficient carbon absorbers as well as being key biodiversity hubs for local wildlife. You can read more about the vital significance of hedgerows and donate to The Tree Council here.

We’re super proud of this new partnership and we’re celebrating the only way we know how; by brewing a new beer. Tree Love is a lip smacking Belgian Kriek style sour that’s made using a delicious blend of malt and sour cherries which gives this beer a full body with sweetness up front and a nice crisp finish. Just what you want from this style. Find it in our web-shop now!

Cheers!
